Terms used in Liveme and their main definitions

The purpose of this page is to help new users learn Liveme jargon. Below are some common terms used in the application and their main definitions.

Administrator – a user selected by the host to block comments from other viewers in the chat. The broadcaster can appoint up to 5 – 10 administrators depending on the level of presenter.

Badges – Badges are earned by users who complete certain milestones or participate in events. The icon is displayed next to the profile photo.

Bag – View your bag by going to your profile page and clicking “My Bag”. The bag stores the bonus gifts you’ve received, and it’s also where you can enable/disable entry effects, cards, and more.

Banned – being banned means that you will no longer be able to log into your account (FALSE – banned users can still log in, message people and comment on broadcasts).

Beam – the presenter can allow the viewer to join the broadcast using video or audio. The beam window appears in the lower right corner of the screen.

Block (by admin) – During a broadcast, a viewer who is blocked by an admin can no longer comment in the chat. But they can still watch the broadcast and send gifts. Such locks last one day and can be canceled by the host or another administrator.

Block (by host) – when the host blocks a user, that user can no longer message them or watch their broadcasts. These bans are permanent and can only be canceled by the broadcaster.

Leader Level (BLv) – A rating from 1 to 50 that leaders can achieve to unlock perks and benefits. The level of the presenter increases if you go live and receive gifts.

Host – anyone who starts a live broadcast on Liveme.

Bubble – In a broadcast, a bubble is the circles at the top of the screen that display photos of some of the viewers.

Cash out – exchange your diamonds for real money.

The castle – is one of the most expensive gifts on Liveme.

Coindrop – distribution of free coins during the broadcast.

Coin Giveaway Target – Hosts can set a coin giveaway goal (300 wands, 75 reposts, 3 Porsches, etc.), upon reaching which a small chest will appear in the left corner of the screen. When the goal is reached, the coins will drop out automatically.

Coins – Liveme’s virtual currency used to purchase gifts.

Convert – exchange diamonds for coins at a rate of about 34%.

Diamonds – When a user receives a gift, it is converted into diamonds, which can be converted back into coins or exchanged for real money.

Top Fans – A list of the user’s top givers daily, weekly and overall.

DM – Private Message

Exp is the points earned by broadcasting, gifting and trading. After reaching a certain amount of Exp, you level up.

Family (Fam) – users can create families and invite other users to join them.

Popular – popular broadcasts appear on the first page of the application. Moving up the list of popular broadcasts, the presenter gets more views and subscribers.

Filter – video effects that can be enabled by the user.

Subscriptions – if you follow another user, he will appear in your “Subscriptions” section when he broadcasts. You can also turn on notifications for when they go live.

Gifts – are items purchased with coins that can be given as a gift to a broadcaster or another user. When you receive a gift, the amount of your diamonds is increased by the number of coins spent on the gift.

Competition – an on-air competition in which the user gets the opportunity to participate in the draw by sending gifts. Prizes can be large gifts or personal items from the broadcaster.

Guardian – When you spend coins to become someone’s guardian, your photo is displayed at the top of all broadcasts. You also get special colored text in chat. The guardian only lasts for a certain period of time, and another user can remove guardianship by interrupting you.

Head2Head – one broadcaster can compete with another in a split screen competition. The winner is the one who receives the most gifts from their viewers.

Level – Your level reflects your status and experience in the app. As you level up, additional benefits and features become available.

Level up – Gain experience to level up.

Likes – are sent during the broadcast when viewers touch the screen with their fingers.

Liveme Official – Official Liveme account where special events and original content are streamed.

LM – A user who has not changed their default Liveme username (LM-383738278…).

Lurk – watch the broadcast without liking, without sharing information and without commenting on it in the chat.

Lurk account – some users, especially those with a high level, create a second account on Liveme in order to discreetly watch other broadcasts.

Recharge – Purchase more coins to use in the app.

Replays – a recording of the broadcast that is saved in the user’s profile.

Report – During the broadcast, you can click on the username and report. This will alert Liveme that the user is behaving inappropriately. You can also take a screenshot of their profile and write to Liveme directly.

Robot (bot) – fake accounts created by Liveme that join the broadcast.

Share – Click the “Share” button on the broadcast to share it on social networks.

Spam Likes – Tap the screen quickly or hold your finger to send likes to a broadcast participant.

Star Badge – Star badge can be obtained after the broadcaster successfully reaches level 35, has 30 thousand subscribers, 500 thousand diamonds.

Star Points – Star Points are earned by all users for logging into the app daily. These Star Points can be given out to hosts in the form of Stars and Star Gifts. Hosts who receive a large number of star points on the air climb the leaderboard faster.

Support Tickets – a support ticket is a gift worth 50 star points.

Suspension – temporary and reversible blocking of your account by Liveme. Account suspension usually lasts from 15 minutes to 48 hours, depending on the severity of the violation.

Swipe out – Swiping up while streaming will force you to leave the stream. It usually happens by accident.

Thirsty – broadcasters who despair and beg for gifts; viewers who beg the broadcaster to do “something”.

Tops (Top Bubbles) – in the broadcast, the top three donors who are present have their photos in the first three bubbles. Broadcasters often ask viewers to watch their “top bubbles”.

Verified badge – A badge awarded to public figures who join the application; this badge can also be obtained by reaching BLv 40, having 200K followers on Liveme and 1M followers on other social networks.
