Understanding the LiveMe App: A Guide to Its Essential Features

The LiveMe application offers a range of features that can enhance your experience and make your broadcasts more enjoyable. Whether you’re a seasoned user or just getting started, understanding these features and customizing them to your liking is simple. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the main buttons and settings that will undoubtedly come in handy during your LiveMe sessions.

Exploring the “Popular” Section

The “Popular” section is where most users start their LiveMe journey. Here, you can browse through a list of all the current broadcasters, ranked from the most interesting to those with less engaging content. The top 10 broadcasters in three categories are featured based on the number of diamonds they have earned in the last 30 minutes. You can update the list by performing a long swipe down. The top rankings reset every half hour, and broadcasters must earn diamonds again to secure a spot. Making it into the top 10 will reward you with a chest of coins (coindrop).

Accessing All Broadcasts

The purpose of this button is simple—to provide access to a list of all broadcasts, conveniently categorized as Parties, Popular, and Nearby.

Following Your Favorite Hosts

In the heart option, you can find the hosts you are following, and see if they are currently broadcasting.

Broadcasting Setup

The central button is of utmost importance, as it allows you to enter the room to set up your broadcast before going live.

Managing Messages

The Messages section is where you’ll find various types of notifications, including system messages, personal messages, friend invitations to go live, kingdom records, contests, money transfers, and more. Since there can be a large number of messages, it’s advisable not to check them frequently. At the end of the day, if there are no important messages, you can click on the three dots in the upper-right corner and select “ignore unread.”

Accessing the Menu and Settings

The menu icon provides access to all settings within the LiveMe app. You can view your earnings, set up notifications, change profile photos, review statistics, and contact support, among other options.

Broadcasting Room Overview

Geolocation Privacy

If the word “Space” is displayed, it means your geolocation is hidden. If your location is shown and you want to hide it, simply click on your name.

Stickers, Filters, and Beauty Features

This option allows you to enhance your broadcast with stickers, filters, and beauty effects. While stickers can add fun to your stream, exercise caution when using the other features, as they may unintentionally affect the quality of your broadcast.

Going Live and Broadcast Types

Clicking “Go live” initiates the broadcast countdown (3-2-1) and starts the recording. If your broadcast gets selected for casting, it’s recommended to switch to English within the first second. In regular broadcasts, viewers will typically start joining you approximately 30 seconds after you begin.

Choosing the Broadcast Type

The “Type” option allows you to select the standard broadcast type, which is suitable for most purposes.

Multi-User Chat and Audio Broadcast

The multi-user chat feature is rarely used, except for specific tasks that require multiple participants. You can also use it to chat with subscribers or exchange coins. If you want to hide the visuals in a multi-user broadcast and only have your voice heard, check the box next to “Audio broadcast” before going live.

Personalize Your Broadcast Text

It’s essential to change the default text (“Welcome to my broadcast!”) to your own personalized message.

Additional Options During Live Broadcasts

Broadcast Statistics
This option displays the duration of your broadcast, the number of new subscribers, and the amount of diamonds and stars you have received.

Comment and Interaction Features
The “Comment” feature allows you to write messages to the chat during your broadcast. You can also engage your audience with interactive elements such as the virtual game where you try to grab virtual sweets with your mouth. Additionally, there’s the “Coinfall” feature, which provides a coindrop of money to surprise and delight your audience.

Whispering and Post Options
During your live broadcast, you can receive private messages through the “Whispering” feature. The “Post” feature allows you to display a short running text at the top of your broadcast for additional engagement.

Recording and Sharing
The “Record” option enables you to save your broadcast to your phone’s memory for later viewing or sharing. You can also share a link to your live broadcast with others to increase viewership.

Adjusting Settings and Interactions
You have the ability to mute your sound temporarily if you need to have a private conversation without the audience hearing you. The “Fluent Quality” setting allows you to select the broadcast quality, useful for conserving mobile internet data. The “Administrator” option enables you to designate a user to help you block unwanted viewers. Additionally, the “Mirror off” feature allows you to disable mirroring the image seen by the audience.

Viewer Engagement and Challenges
You can invite viewers to join your broadcast through a small window on the right side of the screen. The “Tasks” section lists challenges with rewards for their completion. While the rewards may be insignificant, it’s not necessary to strive for completing all tasks. It’s important to prioritize your time and focus on engaging with your audience. If a task is completed automatically, you can click on it to claim the reward.

Monitoring Rankings and Achievements
The “Prompt” feature displays your current ranking compared to other broadcasters. By clicking on it, you can access a detailed view showing how many diamonds you need to reach the top position. Additionally, the number of “lights” your stream has received is shown near your photo. More lights indicate a higher level of engagement. You can increase lights by receiving gifts, stars, comments, shares, subscriptions, and likes. The total number of diamonds you have earned in LiveMe is also displayed.
